Dear Students,

I hope the long weekend provided you an opportunity to catch up on your coursework and take a short break from the daily challenges we all face during these unprecedented times.

While we are confident that your decision-making and actions this weekend complied with public health guidance, out of an abundance of caution, we strongly urge any student who traveled outside of South Florida this weekend, particularly if by air, to get tested for COVID-19 tomorrow or Friday, September 11.

Visit mystudenthealth.miami.edu to schedule an on-campus appointment as soon as possible. More detailed directions to the campus testing site can be found here. If you have any difficulty scheduling your appointment, please contact Student Health Service at studenthealth@miami.edu.

Please know that we are asking students who traveled recently to get tested so that we can provide the necessary care for those who test positive. As President Frenk has said, we will not assume that a positive test is the result of misconduct or carelessness.
