Effective today, Monday, Sept. 21, all students, faculty, and staff will need to swipe their ’Cane Card to access any Coral Gables or Marine campus building with a card-reader mechanism on it. This requirement will remain in effect for the duration of the academic year and will be re-evaluated in the spring semester.
HOW TO OBTAIN A NEW OR REPLACEMENT ’CANE CARD Students may obtain a ’Cane Card in person at the ’Canes Central office on the first floor of the Student Services Building. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday.
Faculty and staff who have lost or misplaced their ’Cane Card should contact the Parking and Transportation office at 305-284-3096, option 2, or email@example.com to coordinate the delivery of a replacement card. Faculty and staff who do not have a ’Cane Card may obtain one in person on the first floor of the McKnight Building (5807 Ponce De Leon Blvd.). Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
To obtain a ’Cane Card on the Marine Campus, email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment. The card printing office is located in North Grosvenor, room N103, and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
New or replacement cards will be complimentary for students, faculty, and staff through Sept. 30.
A valid photo I.D. will be required to obtain a ’Cane Card.
