As we prepare for fall break, I want to thank you again for keeping one another safe. You are having an impact, and you are making the U proud.
It’s hard to believe, but when we return on Monday, we will have just five weeks left on campus for the semester. By observing our protocols and being resilient, we have slowed the spread of the coronavirus.
But please remember that our largest spike in cases followed the Labor Day holiday. Now, with fewer restrictions in Florida, experts are predicting another surge. This weekend, it will be up to each one of us to protect ourselves, to protect others, and to protect the U.
I know you have made many sacrifices. It has made a difference and has enabled us to still be here, together. Let’s not risk losing the gains we have made.
