TROPICAL STORM ETA – ADVISORY 4
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2020, 1 P.M.Tropical Storm Eta is moving west away from South Florida and the most significant part of the storm has now moved through the area. Residual rain bands and intermittent gusty conditions remain possible through the end of today and potentially into tomorrow. Members of the University community should exercise caution if traveling or going outside today as some areas of South Florida have experienced significant flooding.
As previously communicated, all classes on the Coral Gables and Marines campuses will be conducted remotely today. Students with clinical rotations should follow the guidance provided by their clinical sites. Miller School of Medicine students should follow guidance issued by the medical school.
Classes and all other University operations will resume their normal schedules tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Preliminary assessments have been conducted of all campuses. Only very minor issues have been identified and are rapidly being addressed. If you identify issues in your specific space, please contact Facilities and Operations for your respective campus:We appreciate the precautions taken by all members of the University community. As operations resume on Tuesday, all COVID-19 health and safety measures—such as wearing a mask and maintaining physical distance—remain in effect.
