Dear Lakeside Village & University Resident Students,
Starting Monday (2/15/2021), residents of Lakeside Village and University Village will begin using a new breath-based COVID-19 test, which was piloted on campus in the fall and found to be reliable. The University of Miami is among the first universities in the country to utilize this new, quick, and convenient testing technology.
Since this test is non-invasive and quick to administer—you simply breathe into a tube—you are now required to test twice each week. While your testing schedule will change, how you book your appointment and where you test will not.
We’ve provided more detailed information below to answer your questions, but if you have additional questions or need assistance, please contact the UScreen team at uscreen@miami.edu.
