Dear Coral Gables and Marine Campus Colleagues (non-UHealth/Miller School),
Florida is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases due in large part to the Delta variant. With increased safety in mind, we continue to take steps across our campuses to reduce the risk of virus transmission and to safeguard the health of our University and South Florida communities.
As previously communicated, faculty, staff, and postdoctoral associates employed by the University on the Coral Gables and Marine campuses are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021-22 academic year, subject to certain exemptions, specifically medical and religious exemptions.
Employees must receive their final vaccine dose by Aug. 1 to be fully vaccinated by the start of the fall term.
Every employee is required to take affirmative action regarding vaccine documentation. Please ensure you have completed one of these two steps within one week of the Aug. 1 deadline unless you have received an approved exemption:
1. Authorize release of your COVID-19 vaccine documentation from MyUHealthChart to Workday.
If you were vaccinated through UHealth, or if you previously uploaded your vaccine documentation to MyUHealthChart, you still must take affirmative action to provide vaccine documentation to Workday. In your MyUHealthChart account, authorize release of your vaccine information to Workday by logging in and submitting the authorization form. No medical information will be provided to Workday in this transfer. For further assistance, review this tip sheet.
OR
2. Upload your COVID-19 vaccine documentation directly to Workday.
If you prefer to provide documentation directly to Workday, you can upload a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card directly to Workday by following these instructions.
Faculty, staff, and postdoctoral associates seeking a COVID-19 vaccination exemption must apply through Workday by Aug. 1. If you wish to request an exemption, please review details regarding the required supporting documentation prior to submitting your request. Individuals who have been approved for a COVID-19 vaccine exemption will be required to take a weekly COVID-19 test and continue to wear masks in all indoor spaces.
Thank you for your ongoing efforts to provide our students, faculty, and staff with a more traditional fall semester experience and for following important public health protocols. For the latest COVID-19 information and resources, visit coronavirus.miami.edu.
For additional assistance in providing vaccination documentation or submitting an exemption, please reach out to your HR partner or Faculty Affairs.
Thank you.
