Dear ’Canes Colleagues,
Registration is now open for the 12th annual Dolphins Challenge Cancer (DCC). Many of you have participated alongside me in this very special event, and I ask that you please consider doing so again for the upcoming year. We are exceedingly proud that Team Hurricanes is the largest group participating in the event, and we need your support now as much as ever. Would you please join me for DCC XII on Feb. 26, 2022?
A brief reminder for those who know the DCC—and perhaps new information for those of you new to the University—that 100 percent of the participant-raised funds goes to our very own Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. It’s the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in South Florida, allowing for the creation of breakthrough scientific discoveries and cutting-edge cancer treatments, while also creating impactful community outreach programs.
One Team. One Fight. Having raised more than $6.3 million last year, and more than $45.5 million in its history, we have set our goals high to raise even more in 2022.
So, on Feb. 26, 2022, you can participate in DCC in person at Hard Rock Stadium or virtually from the comfort of your home. Either way, you will receive some great benefits. They include the following:

Free registration for all members of the Team Hurricanes family. Enter GOCANES12 as the discount code when registering.

$50 toward your DCC fundraising effort, if you register by Dec. 1, 2021.

Free Team Hurricanes gear for all in-person participants in the 5K and cycling events.

Free Team Hurricanes T-shirts for all virtual participants, with a minimum $25 donation.
