Excellent teaching is at the heart of a high-quality education. At the U, we are committed to supporting and recognizing exemplary teaching. The Office of the Provost invites you to nominate eligible faculty to be recognized for a prestigious
Provost’s Teaching Award.
This year, we will celebrate faculty teaching in six categories:
-
Luis Glaser Mentorship Award
-
Excellence in Experiential Teaching Award
-
Clinical Teaching Award
-
Collaborative Teaching Award
-
Discussion-Based Learning Award
-
Innovation in Teaching Award
Staff, students, and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to nominate faculty who should be recognized in one of these award categories. For more information on the categories, eligibility requirements, and how to submit a nomination, visit the Office of the Provost website.
All nominations will be reviewed by the nominees' school/college leadership, who will select a list of finalists from their school/college in each category to move forward to the second round. Nominees will be notified in January whether they have been selected as a finalist and will be asked to provide supporting materials if selected.
Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2023.
Nominations can be submitted here.
Finalists and awardees will be celebrated at a reception on May 1, 2024, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on the Coral Gables Campus. All finalists and their nominator, chair, dean, and guest will be invited to attend. Please save the date!
I look forward to celebrating with you, |
