Dear Faculty,
A fundamental objective of the Office of the Provost is to recognize the extraordinary talent of our faculty. Talented faculty are key to our institution’s success, and meaningfully recognizing exceptional faculty is critical to amplifying excellence across the U. If you have not already submitted your nominations for the Provost’s Awards, please do so by Friday, Nov. 17.
The Provost’s Awards for Faculty Excellence and Impact honor exceptional faculty achievement across the wide spectrum of faculty activity, from early career excellence to outstanding achievement in the creative disciplines. We encourage nominations from faculty who wish to recognize and reward a colleague for their excellence and impact at the U and beyond.
The Teaching Awards exemplify the U’s commitment to supporting and recognizing exemplary teaching. Faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to nominate esteemed faculty to be recognized for their notable impact through exemplary pedagogy.
All nominations will be reviewed by the nominees' school/college leadership, who will select a list of finalists from their school/college in each category to move forward to the second round. Nominees will be notified in January whether they have been selected as a finalist and will be asked to provide supporting materials if selected.
For more information on the award categories, eligibility requirements, and how to submit a nomination, visit the Office of the Provost website.
Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2023.
