The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce that it is seeking nominations for the University of Miami Faculty Ombudsperson position for the Coral Gables and Rosenstiel campuses.
The Faculty Ombudsperson is a designated campus resource created by the Office of the Provost and the Faculty Senate and appointed by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost. The Ombudsperson provides neutral and confidential complaint management or conflict resolution for faculty and shares information about policies, procedures, and formal or administrative options for addressing concerns within our University.
The ideal candidate would be a tenured full professor with prior administrative leadership experience (e.g., dean, department chair, associate dean, etc.) and familiarity with University resources, policies, and procedures.

. Nominators must ensure that the nominees they put forward are interested in serving in this role prior to submitting the nomination. Self-nominations will be accepted.
Finalists will be interviewed in mid-January 2024, with the goal of filling the position by February 1st. The term length is expected to be three years. |
