Below, for your reference, is the full text of President Julio Frenk’s video message (above) to the University of Miami community.
Last year, my executive team and I committed to building a comprehensive workforce engagement program called Powered by You, with full endorsement from our Board of Trustees. This program launched with the Powered by You faculty and staff survey where 74% of you participated. The overall results were shared and posted online for all to view.
We heard you. Your feedback gave us valuable insight on your experience working at the U.
Most importantly, we are ACTING on YOUR feedback. We created actions, shared them, and are implementing them at the enterprise level focusing on priority areas YOU identified. You will continue to receive updates on our collective progress toward these actions.
Additionally, leaders were asked to work with you to act on team results where they matter most - in interactions with our patients, students, colleagues, and community. Now we need to check in and measure how we are doing.
On April 2nd, you will be invited to complete the 2024 Powered by You faculty and staff pulse survey. As was the case last year, this online survey will be administered by Perceptyx, a third-party survey research firm, and is voluntary, strictly confidential, and will only take about two minutes to complete.
This survey is designed to be short and focused on the most critical feedback you gave us last year. We need to understand where we are progressing, where we are succeeding and where we, as your executive leaders, need to improve to serve you better. Your continued participation is essential for success.
Once the results of the pulse survey are available, our executive leadership team will analyze and evaluate the feedback and share the results with you. Meanwhile, my team will continue to work on the enterprise action items. I ask you to do the same and continue working on your teams’ goals.
The “Powered by You” comprehensive engagement program is here to stay. It is our commitment to harness the power of your unique and valuable insights. Together, we will act on your input.
