Dear students,
As you settle into the Fall 2024 semester, I have an exciting update to share with you! In response to your feedback, we have launched the new Center for Academic Navigation and Success. The center integrates high-quality academic advising, transitional support, and student success initiatives to help you achieve your educational goals.
Here are a few changes you may notice in the coming weeks:
-
Cane Navigators: Formerly called academic advisors, Cane Navigators provide ongoing academic guidance, curricular planning, course registration, and resources to support your timely degree completion.
-
You will have one Cane Navigator assigned to you in CaneLink to clearly identify your point of contact for academic, personal, and professional development.
-
To schedule an appointment with your Cane Navigator, log in to Navigate.
-
Transitional Guides: These individuals provide transitional support and connections to university life for new students and assist continuing students seeking a change of major into a different school/college.
-
To schedule an appointment with a Transitional Guide, log in to Navigate.
-
’Cane Success Center has been integrated into the Center for Academic Navigation and Success and will continue to provide success programs and services through Success Advocates to support your undergraduate journey.
