Dear Colleagues,
Now that the Fall 2024 semester has come to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on our collective achievements and the many ways faculty members across the University continue to shape our current and future success. You teach, innovate, mentor, provide exceptional patient care, conduct pioneering research and scholarship, and design and lead the curricula. You have undoubtedly guided and had a positive impact on each of the 1,000 students who walked across the stage at last week’s commencement ceremony.
The conclusion of this year marks the end of a dynamic first century of perseverance, growth, and pride for the University of Miami. Together we made significant progress on our strategic initiatives, showcased the University’s eminence, and engaged students to hear directly about their experiences and vision for the U.
When we convene again in 2025, we will be celebrating our centennial and stepping forward into a new era of opportunity. We will continue our search for the dean of the Rosenstiel School and embark on a strategic assessment of career services support for students. And every spring semester, we look forward to honoring faculty and their achievements at the Provost’s Award and Faculty Senate Award celebrations.
As interim provost, I remain committed to engaging, listening, and collaborating.
Best wishes for health, happiness, and rejuvenation this holiday season, |
